HELLO. I want to introduce you to someone very special.
My name is Kim and over the past year I have been blessed with the friendship of the Koehler family and their son Keaton. Erika and I met just over a year ago through work and we soon struck up a friendship. As time went on and our bond grew, I learned more and more about her. I learned quickly that the most precious and best person in her life is her yound son, Keaton. I also learned that Keaton is different and at the age of 3, he had already overcome more than I can even imagine. Keaton was born with desmosterolosis, a rare genetic disorder that prevented his brain from developing properly. Keaton can't walk or sit up by himself. He is not able to speak many words but, he has so much to say with his personality. He is one of the happiest people I know and his laugh is the best sound in the world. In honor of Keaton, I will be running 26.2 miles in the 2016 Woodlands Marathon in support of him and his family. Over the next eight months, our goal is to raise $20,000 to benefit his future. Thank you all again and you can follow our journey here or on our Facebook Page, The Keaton Khronicles.
